Reintroducing Myself

Hi, I’m Mike, although I go by Michael Christopher Cole for the purposes of publication and credits. I have written poetry, essays, short stories, sketches, screenplays and several unfinished novels.

I love writing, and sometimes, I do a lot of it. Right now, I’m in a phase where I’m writing a ton. I’m splitting my time between adapting a screenplay that I wrote into a YA novel and working on the first season of a TV show—which will include 8 episodes and a series bible.

Additionally, I find it spurs on my creative juices, if I go back and edit, or rework, or even add to previous works. I thought this would be a good place for me to work through some of that. If you’re subscribed, you’ll see that I posted something under “Without a Tether,” which is called “Prologue.” This is the first entry from a serial that I began a few years ago, which I have kind of thought of as my ‘science-fiction, time-travel autobiography.’ I have 40 entries so far, and will be keeping those going on here on a weekly basis for at least the next 40 weeks.

I plan on posting other things on here as well, including I’ll probably try to write something non-fiction, a sort of ‘state of my writing’ post, at least once a month. I hope you enjoy my writing, and I thank you for subscribing.
