The subtitle of this post pretty much says it all, I have finished my first novel, The Dinner Party. I started writing it for National Novel Writing Month in 2023, and completed the first draft back in January of 2025. I’m really proud of the final product which my editor and I have been going back and forth on for the last six months.
I thought that since it was a labor of love for National Novel Writing Month, which is November, that I would publish in November, and went with the first Tuesday, November 4th 2025. But the book is available for pre-order today, and the first chapter is available for download right now!
Greg Thompson is a typical young man growing up within a conflict between his raising and the culture around him. Greg’s been raised to think that sex before marriage is unacceptable, and yet his hormones and the people all around him seem to be telling him otherwise.
He thinks that he is a ‘nice guy’ and that should be all of the qualifications he needs to find the ‘one, ‘ but he soon finds out it is not enough. …And perhaps he’s not that ‘nice’ of a guy.
